Jabali K. Wells, M.D., MBA, MSc.

Jabali K. Wells, M.D., MBA, MSc. is a Partner at Amicus Capital Partners (ACP) who brings 15 years of combined clinical medicine, health policy, and health economics experience to the firm.  Prior to ACP, he was Managing Partner and Head of Global Affairs at Forde Group Healthcare (FGH), a consulting firm that provides strategy, operations, and M&A advisement to healthcare services, life sciences, health technology, and financial services companies that invest in healthcare.  

At FGH, Dr. Wells advised on numerous M&A transactions in the healthcare sector.  In this capacity, he has assisted with the identification of investment opportunities including the creation and financing of new investment funds, led due diligence on prospective investments, assessed the economic and policy dynamics which affect competitive landscape in the healthcare market, and provided scientific and financial analysis.

Dr. Wells serves on the board of Global Sustainable Partnerships, a non-profit organization that provides clean water solutions to children in Tanzania.  Additionally, he serves on the board of several private holding companies with diverse investment interests in healthcare, as well as the advisory board of a medical device company.  Dr. Wells is a Fellow in the Royal Society of Medicine (United Kingdom), and a member of Chatham House (United Kingdom) and the Asia Society.  He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Dr. Wells received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California Los Angeles, M.D. from Emory University (XSM), MSc. in Health Policy, Planning and Financing from the London School of Economics and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
